What customers say

Based on genuine customer reviews

In Bournemouth, this agency has built a reputation among buyers, sellers and renters for attentive, hands-on service. Feedback consistently highlights the professionalism of the team, with named members of staff such as Clair Clarke, David, James, Josh, Nat and Duanne frequently praised for going beyond expectations to keep transactions on track. Clair in particular is repeatedly singled out for her work in sales progression, chasing solicitors and brokers and keeping all parties informed during what many describe as a stressful process.

Reviews time and again mention how quickly properties attract interest, including one account of a full-price offer arriving the day after a listing went live and another of a sale completed within five days. The presentation of properties, especially photography, is another point that comes up often, with customers saying the images showcased their homes effectively. The agency covers sales, purchases, lettings, property management and valuations, and feedback spans the full journey from initial valuation to completion. Buyers and sellers alike note the supportive, non-pressuring approach taken by staff, and when legal or financial difficulties arose, customers report that the team worked continuously to see matters through.

Dream turned into sweaty nightmare. I tend to think that most people exaggerate and only see and feel from their own perspective/shoes. You may think the same way, but please read the below and make your own assumptions: It all started well but it turned into a nightmare. Lettings agents were always polite and considerate. One of the best I have dealt in years (Alex & Camilla, thank you!) However, as soon as the tenancy started, problems after problems after problems. Energy bills (around £50) unpaid left behind potentially by previous tenants. When we had to top up, Scottish Power promised a refund which never arrived. That’s fine, we took the hit and didn’t bother the agency ( Lovett). Despite being their duty to check before renting! Bathroom sink/bath handle levers were broken and never fixed despite contacting maintenance multiple times. My partner started complaining about back pain as it was really hard to open without the levers. Issues with the boiler, low/no pressure. Maintenance came twice after long waiting in the freezing winter with a 8months baby, had a quick fix and left us to regulate the pressure on a frequent basis. “We instruct tenants to do it on their own because bla bla bla”. You’re being paid to do a service, so do it and don’t come up with excuses please. Half-fixes don’t work… Also, as others said, end of tenancy is a huge…huge nightmare. Despite cleaning the property, they haven’t provided us with a check out copy (never seen it) just to then come and claim unreasonable cleaning fees. Our fault for being naive, as I had to go ahead and travel 6 hours to sort our new place and my partner stayed with the LO behind to sort last things and completely forgot to document/take pictures of the property before leaving. We handed the keys a few days 4/5 days before end of tenancy and god knows when they checked the property (again we haven’t received a copy of the checkout report). I conduct myself with honesty and never wish ill on anyone, and know that the universe will set things right. Karma is real.. Thank you for reading this far!

Avoid wherever possible. Dreadful agency. Relocated 2023 & needed rental property to settle. Agents acted on behalf of Landlady were bad from the start. Reported poor water pressure & lack of hot water in Kitchen & Bathroom within 1st month of rental & it was never resolved the day I moved out. Failed to mention that the building had a theft problem (Amazon deliveries etc), despite notices being on the entrance board - amongst other things. Once I'd found & purchased a place of my own, offered no support despite allegedly being my contact with the owner. When I left, place was in better condition than when I arrived, however, as I had cleaned it & not a professional, this meant I was in breach of contract and was charged £250 - which fair enough, I should have read & accepted. However, Landlady then claimed a further £150 for 'something or other'. Despite me sending photographic evidence, agency advised they were no longer involved & it was with Deposit Recovery. As I could no longer be bothered to dispute (which I'm fortunate to be in that position as not all would be) I accepted 50% of my deposit return. As a last resort, after accepting, I wrote x1 final Email to the agency (as previously mentioned, I never knew the Landlady), that they contact the owner, advise that despite acceptance, I still disputed 100% & would she consider donating that final amount to a Charity - RSPCC/RSPCA etc....unsurprisingly, I have not even received any comment or reply from the agency. This about sums up their approach & as you may guess, they will never be selling the new property that I own!!!

If I could give them 0 stars I would. the worst estate agent I have ever been with. They’re very keen and happy to help to get you into the property and take your money but once you’re in they are useless. Never respond to emails. Mis sold and mislead into a renewal of the tenancy and then when trying to leave they made it impossible and it took threatening to go to the council before getting a response. Was belittled by the staff about the agreement and it’s wording. W had paid our months rent until the 13th for our tenancy but were told we had to hand the keys back 6 days earlier for them to do their inspection and they will not refund us for those days we were unable to access the flat. We are now left in the dark regarding when we will get our deposit back. We have called and emailed and get no response to emails so have no idea where our money is. They have a new tenant in there already and I feel sorry for them. I would not recommend ever renting a property off this company. I have never had so much stress before. disgusting.

I have purchased my first property with Lovett, and I couldn’t be happier with their services. David has gone above and beyond to ensure that we exchange and complete on the flat, doing a far better job than solicitors from both sides. I believe that without his professionalism, my purchase would have fallen through. I highly recommend Lovett’s team, a fantastic estate agency!

Clair and the team from Lovetts have been exceptionally professional. Her knowledge and experience were invaluable. From advertising my flat and finding a buyer, all the way through to completion I felt well supported.

We had a wonderful experience working with Clair Clarke in purchasing a flat. As the seller experience difficulties with their purchase, Clair more than once went above and beyond to assist and progress things. My wife and I were extremely satisfied with the service we received from Lovett. I&S Carter

Lovetts were a pleasure to work with. They were amazing from start to finish. Within 5 days my house was sold & although it was a lengthy process from the sale to exchange & completion they helped me all the way. Josh is a lovely man who talked me through the marketing process & had a lovely non pressuring nature. Clair was amazing & without her I could not have coped, she's such a great asset to Lovett's. She listened to my concerns, dealt with them quickly & constantly reassured me. I was able to contact her at anytime. She made the process much more bearable & even put up with my worries & on many occasions meltdowns! She actually did a far better job than my solicitor! I will definitely recommend Lovett's to others in the future Thank you all so very much
