Haybrook lettings agents Sheffield (Lettings)

4.4(523 reviews)·Sheffield

Haybrook lettings agents Sheffield (Lettings) holds a 4.4 rating from 523 Google reviews. Several reviewers praise Nicole Tseng for friendly, responsive help through viewings and referencing, and one long-standing landlord highlights reliable, efficient tenant-finding since 2013. However, a number of reviews describe recurring problems including poor communication, maintenance issues left unresolved for months (such as a locked window reported in January and still outstanding), and landlords receiving incorrect rent amounts after a system change. Prospective tenants and landlords may wish to ask about current maintenance response times and communication processes before committing.

Honestly, I don't even know where to start with how bad and clueless this letting agency has been. They have caused nothing but stress from start to finish. They approved documents that apparently shouldn't have been approved, then waited until the day we were due to collect the keys to tell us. We were repeatedly told, "This is the last thing you need to do," yet every time there seemed to be another issue or another document required. The only thing they were quick to do was take our money. Moving house is stressful enough without having to deal with constant confusion, poor communication, and last-minute surprises. If you want a smooth, hassle-free move, I would avoid this agency. If we hadn't already handed in the notice on our previous property, we would have stayed there rather than go through this experience.

I’m not normally one to leave reviews but after being in many rentals this is the worst estate agents I have ever dealt with. Communication was terrible throughout our tenancy, we reported multiple concerning maintenance issues that to our knowledge never got resolved as we never had any conclusive responses or updates. When I dropped our keys off at the end of the tenancy, we got a call a week or so later asking if we had dropped them off which is concerning given that I dropped them back directly to a member of staff at the main office. And finally after us calling and emailing countless times to ask how much our last pro rata rent payment would be, we never received a reply until almost a month later when we got a threatening final warning. We are still yet to get any information about when our deposit will be returned. Deeply concerning and disappointed with the service provided.

Haybrooks have been amazing. NICOLE imparticular I viewed a property not sure if I would pass the referencing process and throughout they were fantastic and reassuring that they would do there best to secure the property for me.

Nicole was very friendly and helpful throughout the viewing and application process. Communication from her / Haybrook was always very speedy, and we're really happy with the service they provided.

Unreliable, never ever get back to you as they promise, had recent issues with receiving the correct rent amount, the recent issues with “ the new system “has left multiple landlords short!,avoid at all costs!!! definitely pay the other say 2%!!! to a reputable and reliable letting company!!

I had a fantastic experience securing my new home through Haybrook lettings. From the very first viewing, Nicole was incredibly kind and professional. The referencing process can usually be stressful, but she made everything feel seamless. Nicole was always ready to answer my questions and was so helpful every time I reached out. Highly recommend their services.

Avoid Haybrook Lettings and Property Management. We moved into our property in January 2026 and the experience since then has been nothing short of chaotic and incompetent. A basic maintenance issue (a locked living room window with no key) was reported on 17 January and is still unresolved months later. We were initially told to report maintenance to the agent, only to later be told this was incorrect. We were then assured the issue had been passed to the landlord, which turned out to be untrue. This alone caused weeks of unnecessary delay. We were not even provided with a full set of keys at move-in and had to pay out of pocket to get a second set cut ourselves. This was only addressed after repeated chasing. The tenancy inventory was sent almost two months late and contains obvious inaccuracies, including claiming the property was clean despite visible stains (even in their own photos). Communication has been consistently poor. We have had to chase for everything, and the information provided has been contradictory and unreliable throughout. To top it off, yesterday we received a threatening “final demand” email over £15 (which had already been agreed in writing with their Property Manager and deducted for the key cutting costs), with references to legal action, despite no prior communication. This perfectly sums up the level of disorganisation. When we raised a complaint, they failed to follow their own complaints procedure time frames, causing further delays. We have now escalated the matter to The Property Ombudsman.
