What customers say

Based on genuine customer reviews

Fast and friendly replies are the thread running through accounts of Omnia Property Group in Sheffield, whether the customer is a tenant, a leaseholder or a landlord. Several reviewers name individual staff: Hannah Wood for professional answers over a year of renting, Ben for making a move-in straightforward all the way through the viewing and the handover of keys, and Lucia and Emily for being contactable even when something urgent arises. Carl B. is singled out by one landlord for attentiveness and for taking the property's interests seriously.

A point made in several accounts is how swiftly questions and requests are dealt with, and how supportive the team is in its property management and block management roles. Less favourable accounts also recur. Billing and administration draw repeated criticism, with one reviewer describing charges they considered unjustified and official complaints that went unanswered. Others say communication drops away once notice is served, citing follow-up emails that receive no response and visits to the office that yield little help. A separate theme is preparation of a studio before a tenancy, which one occupant says had not been cleaned and came without guidance on the appliances.

Exceptional communication and outstanding customer service. Hannah, Ben and everyone at Omnia have been ever so helpful, friendly and supportive, always extremely prompt in answering any questions and sorting any matters in such a professional manner. I have been a resident for 4+ years and it has been the most pleasant experience as a tenant. The very secure premises are always well maintained, such a pleasant environment that genuinely felt like home. Atlantic One is so conveniently located, 10-15 minutes walking distance from the city centre, in a a very safe, residential part of Sheffield, close to all means of transportation (tram and busses one minute walk away), parks, cafes, gyms, restaurants, shops, hospitals / clinics, etc. Kelham Island is only within 10 minutes walk, the lively West Street just across the road, Meadowhall 30 minutes by tram and Sheffield train station 20 minutes by tram or 30 minutes walk.

I had an excellent stay at Watson Chambers and would highly recommend both the property and the management team. The location is absolutely prime, making it one of the best places I've stayed. A special mention goes to Hannah and Ben, who were fantastic throughout the tenancy. They were professional, responsive, and always willing to help whenever needed. Their support and communication made the entire experience smooth and enjoyable. The property itself was well-managed, comfortable, and ideally situated, which greatly enhanced my stay. The only downside was the lifts being out of service at times, particularly during move-out. This resulted in a significant amount of manual handling while transporting belongings, which was quite bothersome and inconvenient. That said, this was a relatively small issue compared to an otherwise outstanding experience. Overall, I would rate both the management team and Watson Chambers very highly and consider it one of the best properties in a prime location. Thank you, Hannah, Ben, and the team for making my stay such a positive one.

I speak to Omnia Block Management on a regular basis and have always found them to be extremely helpful. They respond very quickly and are easy to get hold of, especially in emergency situations when it matters most. Their efficiency and willingness to assist really stand out. I’m very happy with the service they provide. Special shout out to Lucia and Emily who I usually speak to.

Ben has been so helpful and kind during the move-in process, no hassle from viewing to key handover. Responses are always fast and friendly. Also spoke with Hannah briefly over the phone who I can also say was very helpful!

When meeting Ben from the Broadfield Court Omnia office in Sheffield to view the property at Watson Chambers, I had some questions to ask which he answered and he was pleasant and friendly on first meet. He is prompt to answer emails, that said after moving into the studio apartment, it's apparent no cleaning is done prior to a tenant moving in, no instructions are left on how to operate equipment, e.g. microwave, washer/dryer, tv (no remote was in the property). I didn't even know there was an intercom system on the wall until I was cleaning near it. After 3 times using the shower the shower unit broke, the plumber did turn up after a day or 2 but was led to believe the shower tray was leaking, even though my email specifically explained high pressure steam emitted from the shower unit then it started leaking and no water was coming through the shower head. The plumber explained it needed an electrician (more delays) whom came the following day and said he would be back later in the day to replace it, I then got a call to say the shower needs replacing like for like and will have to be ordered which can take 3-7 days (more delays), I have been without a working shower for nearly a week now and I'm into the 3rd day of the shower waiting to come on order. To be fair they have given me use of a shower in one of the empty flats but the flat is filthy, when I used the shower I'd put my clean clothes on the floor to change into, when I picked them up they were covered in dust so I haven't used that shower again, I had enough on cleaning the studio I moved into, I wasn't about to clean a second one. I am hoping the shower will be fixed this week as washing at a sink is not great, especially when you have disability problems. I also discovered a slow leak under the sink but have been asked to report it to the plumber when they come to replace the shower so multiple contractors are not having to come out. It feels as if jobs are not prioritised in order of importance and there is no care or consideration for tenants who take a pride in the property, in keeping it clean and maintained. The floor in the kitchen had 2 tiles with corners curled upwards which I kept tripping on, had to put a rug over it to stop tripping on them, The hob is cracked and chipped, I asked if the landlord would consider replacing it but was told it will be at their discretion as it works. I haven't used the hob, there is no oven so I just have a microwave which is definitely not ideal. I had high hopes before I moved in but those have since been dampened along with my spirit. The location of being central in the city and within a 10 minute walk to work I feel is the only bonus. Hopefully things will improve soon with the repairs and I am really hoping the hob top will be replaced, although I still haven't heard anything after a few days of asking, so I am not hopeful they have even asked the landlord or if they will replace it, if they don't I won't be comfortable using it and considering the amount of rent paid on the small self contained studio, it's not acceptable to be left with just a microwave to use. I also don't feel safe having to unlock the bin store outside the apartment block, it's next to a pub and homeless or drunk people hang around, the bin store could be better located and there's no separate recycling bins for those of us who want to recycle and look after the environment.

Throughout my year of renting, I've had outstanding customer service from Hannah Wood with fast, professional responses, and any issues were dealt with promptly. Their support made the experience much easier.
