2.8 / 5 · 23 total-Rented for 1 year under Polygon -When leaving the agreed tenancy Polygon billed our group for long term damage on the property including carpet and wall stains, which were present prior to arrival -When moving into the property it was left in a unhygienic state and generally not clean, with food left littered under the fridge and in the kitchen area -Later billed our group for cleaning fees despite the fact we left the property in a far cleaner state -Staff seem generally uninterested and unhelpful -Would highly recommend not using polygon!
I wish I could give you a zero but that's not possible so I give you a one. The worst property rental company I have ever encountered in my life. Ranging from a group of lying scamming property agents, unreliable landlord and a disrespectful admin assistant. If you know what's good for you, you'll stay away from Polygon. Rented a property from them for a year and were tricked into a dodgy contract with them. - Had no gas, heating or hot water for over 2 weeks. - beetle infestation (they might as well had paid the bills) -Wall cracks -Mould -Giant hole in bathroom upon arrival to the property - Was greeted with a hole in the floor that was filled with a paper ball. -Faulty electrical systems -Incredibly dim lighting in house. And finally as someone else had previous mentioned they had a habit of turning up to the property unexpectedly even with viewings STAY AWAY FROM THEM
- rented a house in Soton for 2 years from them - lied to us in the contract and was very rude over email - left us with no central heating or hot water for over 48 hours in January blizzard - said that a gas leak wasn't an emergency - no emergency number to call - only email - would show up to the property without notice ( which is illegal) - had a severe infestation of silverfish for 2 years, was told it wasn't their problem. John, Theresa and Lucia - worst company to be with DO NOT GO WITH THEM!!!! btw all the 5-star reviews you see on here are fake lol
We rented a student place from Polygon properties and everything was amazing, house was exactly as described and any minor issues over the past year were dealt with efficiently. They have their own maintenance guy which makes everything so much easier for any minor issues without having to wait ages for a trader to come out. Lucia in the office was always really helpful, always happy to help over emails and quick to give us a referral at the end! No problems with getting the deposit back at the end which is always a bit of a worry, couldn’t recommend them enough for anyone renting in Southampton area!
Honestly, no one ever leaves good reviews for property management companies… but Polygon Property is the exception. Their online support is top-notch!! Their maintenance team is incredible and any issued are mostly resolved on the same day! I’ve never had a question go unanswered or a problem unresolved. I really can’t understand the negative reviews, they always seem to come from annoyed customers, but my experience has been nothing but great. It’s a young, reliable, second-generation family-run team. Very honest, very supportive, and genuinely good people. Several friends of mine have rented through them too and had similarly positive experiences. Nice houses, great selection, and probably the best property management group in the Soutampton.
Rented a student property with this company. Not a nice place to live. Property had been neglected. Very dirty on moving in day and in a state of disrepair. Complained but told the property had been cleaned. This was clearly not the case- mould, dirty paintwork, stained carpets, layers of dust and an extremely greasy oven. In the end had to involve Southampton City Council to get the repairs done. Avoid!
Worst agency ever!!!don't look after tenants. They lied throughout the contract, when asked to get the house clean at the beginning of the contract they ignored emails and refused to send anyone. The house was a messy and dirty. Just keep an eye out as they are a very shady company.!!!!
