Linley Properties

Linley Properties is a family-run lettings agency founded in 1987. The agency is based in Meanwood, North Leeds, and operates as a small agency. John Linley is the founder and also serves as Managing Director of sister company Linley Builders. Jane Judge is the Property & Lettings Manager, and Lindsay Harrison is the Office Manager, having worked at Linley Properties for 13 years. Linley Properties offers Fully Managed or Let Only services for landlords.

It provides quality rental accommodation to professionals and students, and has a range of commercial properties for long-term office and retail clients. For tenants, the agency provides a dedicated contact who looks after their house move from start to finish, and offers easy online applications and protected deposits. Property maintenance and repairs are carried out using vetted tradespeople.

In Meanwood, Linley Properties is described by both landlords and tenants as a dependable letting and property management agency, with Jane and Lindsay singled out for their friendly and knowledgeable approach. More than one customer describes relationships lasting well over a decade, during which the team has consistently secured reliable occupants and attended promptly to maintenance matters. A theme running through the feedback is the speed of communication, with emails answered quickly and queries resolved without delay; one tenant recalls a smooth and stress-free move, while another highlights proactive handling of issues before they escalate.

Landlords value the continuity of staff and direct access to the firm's own maintenance department, whose work is described as quick and of a high standard. The referencing of prospective tenants and regular liaison with occupants also feature, along with fair and prompt resolution of problems. Several accounts note the personal interest taken in each property and the family-orientated character of the business, where nothing seems too much trouble. Tenants and landlords alike note that Jane remains responsive throughout the moving process, and that the team's trade contacts are a practical advantage when repairs are needed.
