I would highly recommend James Laurence to anyone looking to buy or sell property in Birmingham. Karan and the team were fantastic, very communicative and helpful at every stage. So much easier and smoother than other estate agents I've used in the past. Top marks!

Absolutely appalling service from James Laurence Lettings. I had a viewing booked and confirmed by email, for the 25th of June 2026 at 11am for an address around Harborne park road, yet when I tried calling beforehand, nobody answered the phone. I still made the journey, spending money on an Uber and travelling around 20 minutes to get there. When I arrived, I repeatedly rang the doorbell and tried contacting the office multiple times, only to eventually be told that the property had already been let and that “someone should have contacted me.” The problem is that nobody did. I received no phone call, no email, no text message, nothing whatsoever. The complete lack of communication is unacceptable. Not only was my time wasted, but I also incurred unnecessary travel costs because of their failure to inform me that the viewing was no longer going ahead. What made the experience even worse was the response when I called. There was little to no apology, no accountability, and no genuine concern for the inconvenience caused. I was simply told there was nothing they could do. If this is how prospective tenants are treated before they’ve even signed a tenancy agreement, I dread to think what the service is like afterwards. Extremely unprofessional, disorganised, and disrespectful of people’s time. I would strongly advise others to think twice before dealing with this agency.
Tom, Henry, Karan and the team were fantastic start to finish helping to sell our apartment. Communication was clear, prompt and honest. Would thoroughly recommend.
