Wouldn’t recommend this company to anybody. Left the property in great condition on the agreed terms. After attempting to take some of my deposit and me disputing with deposit holder with an abundance of evidence, James Askey decided he would decline deposit mediation and take me straight to small claims court with a fabricated story. I think it went beyond wanting a portion of my money at that point and was out of sheer ego because I dared to argue my case. Was a nightmare to communicate with leading up to court, sent emails to an Incorrect email address (was my email but missing a letter from hotmail) attempting to portray that his bids for reasoning were going ignored, talked around in circles reciting law , avoiding any real conversation and constantly trying to intimidate over emails. Luckily I had kept the evidence I needed and to be honest James embarrassed him self in court, disorganised, completely bypassing the evidence of our conversations etc and relying on law that was completely unrelated to the circumstances. I would be cautious as there is a severe lack of integrity and professionalism. These properties tend to attract students/ international students and young people who can be easily preyed upon to submit portions of their deposit through manipulation tactics like threats to go to court. I think James was relying on me being one of those people and submitting my entire deposit to him so he would drop the court claim. Be mindful when choosing!

I’ve been renting with ASK Property since 2019, and my experience has been excellent. Richard, Jim, and the rest of the team have always been friendly, supportive, and professional. Any issues were dealt with quickly, and communication was always straightforward. I stayed in one of Jim’s properties for 5 years and 3 months, which says a lot about how happy I was there. I genuinely have no complaints. I’m only moving because of work and a change in location. Thank you to Richard, Jim, and the whole ASK Property team for all your support over the years. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend ASK Property to anyone looking for a reliable and well-managed place to rent.

I rented this property based on a recommendation from an office colleague, and it has been a very pleasant place to stay. The landlord is extremely helpful, attentive, and genuinely cares about the tenants. I lived there for around one year, during which time the property was consistently maintained in a clean and tidy condition. The location is also quite good, with close proximity to a park and a reservoir, which adds to the overall living experience. The landlord has always been responsive and supportive whenever assistance was required. Overall, it has been a very nice stay, and I would be happy to recommend this place to my friends.

Very hard to get hold off after my tenancy ended. I was owed money for pro-rata adjustment to rent, when my room was rent out to a new rentee. I never received that money, nor any replies to my messages.

I had the pleasure of renting a property from AskProperty for three years (10 mnts bus ride from city centre), and it was an excellent experience. Richard and the team were always very helpful, responsive, and professional throughout my stay. Any issues were handled promptly, and communication was always clear and easy.
