4.2 / 5 · 150 totalI rented a place in Belfast through Belvoir the last 2 years and they were great to deal with throughout!
Gavin, an agent here, was exceptionally helpful in my transatlantic move. He helped me view a property remotely; he was clear and detailed in all of his instructions for me and in setting expectations; he was patient with the extra bureaucratic steps necessitated by international banking; and he accommodated my super specific needs in getting my keys. I love my flat and am so grateful that Gavin helped me move here!
I would appreciate clearer and more proactive communication from your team regarding even minor requests. At the moment, I often find myself having to follow up multiple times without receiving confirmation or updates. For example, I reported a broken sofa at the start of my tenancy, and it has now been around six months without resolution. Additionally, I requested assistance to have a caretaker open the router area for my internet connection. Unfortunately, no one attended, and there appeared to be a lack of communication with the caretaker—this has happened twice, leaving me to rely on mobile data. Given that we are paying a significant amount for this service, I would expect a higher standard of customer support, particularly in terms of timely responses and clear communication. I would appreciate it if these issues could be addressed as a priority.
Unfortunately, I had a very bad experience with the agent on Ormeau Road Agency. I went to view the apartment at 4, Belgravia House on the 30th of April, we were 5 customers/competitors interested on it. After the views, the agent took our email with the promise to send to us the reference application to send back it to the Agency. Guess what? I did not received the application, instead, after 24-hour I received a text plus an email to let me know that the flat was taking. The agent forgot to send the email but he didn't forget to let me know the flat was gone? How strange is it?? I felt, excluded from the competition and betrayed. The result? I'll never trust them again in the future.
I booked a viewing for a rental unit in Belfast, i was contacted on the day to confirm the viewing as well, and no agent showed up for the viewing!!! No answer on the phones. No reply still to my emails regarding the incident. Extremely unprofessional
LANDLORDS & RENTERS STAY AWAY! One of the most unprofessional companies I have ever came across. If I could have contacted the owner of the property I would have and informed them of how their property is being mismanaged. One example of this appeared within a couple weeks of moving into the property; when we were assured that the bathroom and hall was to be painted and had allegedly reached out to a decorator to do the work as there was mold which needed to be covered up. After reaching out to Belvoir on a number of occasions it became aware they had no intention of caring out this work. Then upon moving out they attempted to charged us with this redecorating cost which should have been sorted before we moved in. On top of this, the battle for our deposit was long and gruelling despite little to no evidence of wear and tear on the property after being assured to by a member of staff that we should receive 100% of the deposit hassle free. Unprofessional / incompetent from start to finish!
I’ve been renting a flat through Belvoir for the past 3 going on 4 years, and after all of the numerous useless and crooked agents I’ve experienced in 10 years of renting properties, Belvoir have restored my faith in letting agents as a whole. Exceptionally professional and always respond to emails/calls straight away - e.g. today had an issue with my gas meter, and within maximum of half an hour of me raising the issue, Belvoir sent out a contractor who sorted the issue within 5 minutes. Never had a single problem of any kind with Belvoir and couldn’t recommend them enough to anyone looking for a reliable and friendly agency to rent with 🌟
