I would strongly urge anyone considering using DB Roberts in Wolverhampton to be extremely cautious, particularly when dealing with **Jay Reade, the manager who handled our property purchase**. Our experience was extremely stressful and, in our opinion, completely unacceptable. We were in the process of buying a property and simply needed reasonable time to arrange and consider the survey. Instead of being given the space to carry out proper due diligence on what was a major financial decision, we felt subjected to constant and unnecessary pressure to proceed. Jay repeatedly called us every few days, demanding a simple “yes or no” answer and seemingly unwilling to listen to or discuss the legitimate reasons why we needed more time. The manner in which we were treated felt intimidating, dismissive and, from our perspective, amounted to persistent harassment rather than professional communication. We were repeatedly told that the property could be put back on the market if we did not immediately give the answer she wanted. This constant pressure caused us an enormous amount of stress and seriously affected our wellbeing. Buying a home is already one of the most stressful experiences a person can go through; an estate agent should be there to facilitate the process professionally, not add to the pressure through repeated threats and aggressive communication. The situation became so unpleasant that, by the end of the purchase, **we refused to collect or accept the keys from Jay because we simply did not want any further interaction with her**. That is how badly our experience with her had affected us. No customer should feel so uncomfortable with an estate agent that they actively avoid seeing or speaking to the person at the completion of what should have been an exciting milestone. What makes this experience even more disappointing is that this behaviour came from someone in a management position. In our opinion, the level of professionalism, communication and customer care was far below what we would expect from an estate agent, let alone a manager. **DB Roberts' senior management should seriously take note of the way customers are treated and investigate whether this behaviour reflects the standards they want their company to represent.** This was one of the most stressful and unpleasant property-buying experiences we have had. Based entirely on our personal experience, we would not recommend dealing with Jay Reade.
